Volume 01 is small on purpose.
It would be easy to open with sixty products. It is also the fastest way to end up with a store full of things nobody chose deliberately. We would rather start with a handful of pieces that carry the rest of a wardrobe — outerwear you reach for without thinking, knitwear that works over a shirt or on its own, trousers that fight neither — and get those right before adding anything else.
Short ranges are harder to hide behind. With sixty products, a weak piece disappears into the grid. With a handful, every one of them is a statement about the standard. That is the point.
What comes next depends partly on you. We read what sells, but we read the returns more closely. A piece that comes back tells us something a piece that sells never will, and the reason for a return goes straight into the next spec.
Here is what we can commit to now:
- The range grows slowly, and only when a piece has earned its place.
- Nothing gets added because a season demands it.
- When we get something wrong, we say so here, in this journal, rather than quietly discontinuing it and hoping nobody noticed.
That last one matters more than it looks. Any brand can publish its wins. A journal is only worth reading if the misses show up in it too.
Volume 02 is in progress. When it arrives, it will be because it cleared the same list as everything before it.
